Today I have noticed a curious phenomenon: While my stubbornness makes it very hard for others to force me to do anything, I can very easily be guilted into doing the very same thing. The only difference is: (1) Who's asking (2) How they ask
I think that that is possibly the essence of stubbornness. There is no logical reason to refuse to do something, one just wants to make the decision themselves when they're good and ready. We humans are silly :)
